Preschool kids attend 1st grade
For the very first time on Friday, our preschoolers visited the first two grades of our BilinGO primary school. We would like our preschool children to learn what it means to be a schoolchild before they become one. It is very important to us that the children become familiar with this idea at an early age to enable them to move smoothly to primary school in the coming summer.
We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the morning assembly. Later, we attended and participated in the first two German classes by Mrs. Landmann and Mr. Völsen. The class was about the letter “L” and the letter was reinforced in a variety of ways. It was written in sand, syllables hopped on a trampoline, the letter was twisted out of rope and rolled out in playdough. It was a thrilling day for all involved!
